There is no doubt that celebrity stylist, June Ambrose is a true fashion icon of mine. Her style is impeccable and of course she didn’t disappoint while in NYFW this week! Just love her…and her accessories!!

{accessory essentials}

I thought I’d put together a list of essentials that well I’ll put it this way…you should have! I consider these basics and a great start to build your collection.
1. Flat boots: very versatile as you can wear with skinny jeans, leggings, skirts or dresses.
2. Layered Necklace: more is better in this situation, so I suggest a few pieces.
3. Clutch: one that is a carry-all so when you don’t feel like lugging around your big handbag this is an easy transition.
4. Printed belt: adds to any outfit you have regardless of color.
5. Link bracelet: classic but edgy that would look fabulous by itself or stacked with others.
6. Watch: I have the oversized gold version so if that’s not your style any watch that can be worn with a blazer, sweater or leather jacket is key.
7. Tote bag: nothing is better when you have a bag big enough to carry all your belongings especially for those long days. Very chic.
8. Chandelier earrings: the elongated length makes for a better look whether it’s casual or not.
9. Scarf: my ultimate favorite accessory. Any kind, color and length is a yes for me!

Have fun picking out your essentials!

{SS loves: colored pants}

If you’re anything like me you may have fallen in love with bold colored skirts, shorts and pants this Summer. Well you can do it again this Fall. However, to transition I would choose heavier twills and denims that are bright or a little more muted – whatever’s your style! The pants look good in any silhouette from capri length, skinny, flare to high-waisted. I’ve picked a few that are fun, easy to shop and wear:

Mustard// Pink// Green// Salmon// Blue

Here are a few more that I love and even Shopbop!!!

{zara online shopping}

September 7, 2011

The day has finally arrived….you can shop online at Zara! Did I mention with free shipping? Definitely a long time coming but I couldn’t be more happy. It’s one of my favorite stores and now know I can shop at the comfort of my home.

This is the latest fall lookbook, but I have to be honest, it was brutal selecting my picks. It’s been really hot here lately and the last thing I want to think about is a sweater and/or a coat! Needless to say, it won’t stop me from buying something?

{fall must have list}

August 29, 2011

Photobucket
It’s that time of year again that I want to either add to my wardrobe or update/replace. In some cases its both. As I flip through magazines, browse through blogs and shop new floor sets, I see some sort of list forming. I thought I’d share mine, it’s starting off simple.

1. OTK vintage brown boots. I’m loving these although they aren’t OTK (hmmm!).

2. Navy blue blazer. Bought mine at F21. It truly is the perfect fit and length.

3. New black pumps. How about these…adds a new touch!

4. Marc Jacobs link bracelet, a great addition to my collection.

5. Polka dot top. It can be any color but I like this size dot.

6. A dress that is of this silhouette.

7. Comfy knit sweater.

8. Matte colors.

This list is of course growing and may cross a few off {or add} as I shop in the city! What’s on your list?

{LA to NY}

August 26, 2011

Photobucket
Hey there!!! I’m off to NYC for an extended trip and I couldn’t be more excited. Lots of fun will be had except for Hurricane Irene that plans to pay a visit. :( But regardless, here is a glimpse at what I’ve packed. I’d be lying if I told you this is all I packed {snickering}. I managed to squeeze a lot more. Yes, I only packed a carry-on.

PhotobucketDespite the crazy week I had last week by Friday I wasn’t quite sure what would make it better. As packages were delivered around the office late in the morning, I couldn’t have been more excited that my iPad had arrived. You really have no idea!  Even though I was impatient during the 3 weeks it took to get here, it came at the perfect time.  I had an instant smile and spent most all of the weekend playing with it.

Photobucket {Flipboard and Zinio apps have to be my favorite as it’s the digital format to view magazines – simply amazing!}

Hope you had a good weekend!

I want to wish all the moms out there a Happy Mothers Day! I thought I’d share a few photos of my mom. As I was going through them it was fun taking a trip down memory lane. I of course found a few baby pictures of myself…although some of them are cute, I’ll share those at later time!

Happy Mothers Day Mom – you mean the world to me! So very thankful and blessed for all that you are and have given me. One being my family and amazing 3 sisters.
